Chelsea’s £30m flop Drinkwater could be offered a new Premier League start by Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth.

Bournemouth are hoping to sign Chelsea outcast Danny Drinkwater on loan before the end of the January transfer window, according to The Mail.
The England international is in dire need of a move away from Stamford Bridge this month, a year-and-a-half after his ill-fated £30 million move from Leicester City (Mirror).
Drinkwater has made just one appearance for Chelsea since Mauricio Sarri took over and that came in August’s Community Shield defeat to Manchester City. He has also been included in the matchday squad for a single Premier League game under the former Napoli boss.
The Mail, however, believes that Bournemouth would be willing to offer the one-time Manchester United youngster a fresh start if Chelsea allow him to leave on loan.

Drinkwater’s arrival would perhaps compensate for the absence of young Lewis Cook, who is expected to miss the rest of the season with a cruciate ligament injury.
West Ham United have also been linked with the 28-year-old according to The Mail (23 January, page 65) but Manuel Pellegrini’s side now appear to be looking at alternative targets.
Sky Sports claimed on Monday that they were in talks with Sheffield United playmaker John Fleck.
