Callum Robinson has nine Championship goals for Preston North End this season – is a move to the Premier League beckoning?

Callum Robinson has developed into one of the Championship’s most underrated attacking talents since the start of the year.
The Preston North End forward is already just one goal short of his career league best, having struck nine times already this season – an impressive run of form which has also allowed the 23-year-old to force his way into the Republic of Ireland squad.
And, according to The Sun (2 December, page 59) Robinson is now starting to attract attention from clubs higher up the footballing pyramid.
It is claimed that Bournemouth are weighing up a bid to bring the versatile forward to the Premier League in the January transfer window – despite the fact that Robinson could now be set for three months on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

The Sun claims that Robinson is valued at £7 million, while Bournemouth are scouring the market for other attackers too. Liverpool’s seldom-seen England U21 international Dominic Solanke is also understood to be an option, The Sun adds.
The Cherries have already signed one talented youngster from the Championship this season – David Brooks has been a revelation since joining from Sheffield United. And Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe should be backing himself to get the best out of Robinson too, given that the speedy and skillful forward has all the attributes to fit in into his high-tempo and attacking-minded team.
The Northampton-born Robinson has been at Preston since 2016. He was released by Aston Villa after making just five appearances for the Midland giants, but is starting to show that his former club should perhaps have given him more time.
