Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund need a striker and Scottish Premiership giants Celtic might struggle to keep Moussa Dembele at Parkhead.

Celtic somehow managed to hang onto Moussa Dembele last summer despite the young striker attracting attention from almost every big-name club on the continent.
This time around, however, Dembele’s name has been oddly absent from the gossip columns. Perhaps this has something to do with the fact that he scored just 16 goals in 2017/18, half the tally he managed in that stunning debut season at Parkhead.
But that doesn’t mean Dembele isn’t still a target for some of Europe’s big-hitters.

It is understood that the Bundesliga giants are big fans of Dembele and, after being linked last summer, could now be about to ‘go on the offensive’.
Dortmund need a new centre-forward having lost talisman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Arsenal midway through last season for £60 million. Michy Batshuayi was fantastic during his loan spell from Chelsea from January onwards but The Blues want around £50 million for the Belgian, which could put him out of BVB’s price-range.

Dembele, however, will be much cheaper. The Daily Record claimed in January that Celtic value the former Fulham youngster at £20 million.
It remains to be seen, however, whether The Hoops are willing to sell. After signing another promising young Frenchman in Odsonne Edouard, Brendan Rodgers at least already has a replacement in his ranks.
