Newcastle United have reportedly discussed signing Croatian winger Nikola Vlasic on loan from Premier League outfit Everton.

With Rafa Benitez’s hands tied once again, it has been another frustrating transfer window for Newcastle United fans.
With just a week to go and the departures of Aleksandar Mitrovic, Chancel Mbemba, Mikel Merino and Matz Sels giving the manager some money to spend, new arrivals have been few and far between for the Magpies, with supporters growing more frustrated by the day with owner Mike Ashley.
Newcastle fans want to see action from their owner, who has so far been unwilling to part with the kind of cash other Premier League teams are.
In the last week, Newcastle have signed Swiss international Fabian Schar, agreed a deal with Mainz striker Yoshinori Muto and, according to HLN, have seen a £4.4 million bid for Anderlecht forward Isaac Kiese Thelin accepted.
And latest reports from Merseyside suggest that their hopes of landing Nikola Vlasic have been given a big boost too.
According to The Mail in July, Newcastle had discussed signing the 20-year-old winger on loan from Everton. And the Liverpool Echo is now claiming that Vlasic is one of four players who have been frozen out by Toffees manager Marco Silva with the club looking to get rid before the window slams shut.

Vlasic made just seven Premier League starts for Everton since his £10 million move from Hajduk Split last summer but he has the pace and skill to be the central attacking spark that Benitez has been looking for all summer.
It remains to be seen whether Everton would be willing to loan Vlasic out rather than selling him, however.
