Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban looked set to sign for Championship outfit Nottingham Forest but don’t rule out Birmingham City just yet.

Lewis Grabban is not a Nottingham Forest player just yet. If Birmingham City get their way, he never will be.
The East Midland giants have been linked with a number of strikers in recent weeks, including former players Nelson Oliveira and Patrick Bamford, but it is understood that Grabban has always been Karanka’s top priority.
The Spaniard is not the only Championship manager hoping to sign the Bournemouth misfit, however.

The Blues were the joint lowest scorers in the Championship last season with 38 goals in 46 games so it is no wonder that they are interested in Grabban, who finished just one adrift of Matej Vydra in the Golden Boot race with 20 to his name during loan spells at Sunderland and Aston Villa.

The Post adds, however, that Nottingham Forest have held positive talks with Grabban in recent days and are still hopeful of getting the deal over the line.
