The future of Celtic’s Scottish Premiership champion Dedryck Boyata is up for debate again with Besiktas linked.

It is well documented that Boyata is out of contract at the end of this season and, according to HLN, Celtic could now be forced to let him go for a cut-price fee in January, with Brendan Rodgers allegedly given up on tying him down to a new contract.
After helping Belgium reach the World Cup semi-finals and starring as Celtic won successive domestic trebles, the former Manchester City defender has been linked with a whole host of clubs.
According to Turkish Football, Besiktas are at the front of the queue right now. It is understood that the 2017 Super Lig champions are weighing up a January move for the 28-year-old, and signing Boyata looks like a priority.
Because Besiktas are reported to have identified the Hoops’ centre-back as a replacement for Croatian World Cup finalist Domagoj Vida – the £30 million-rated defender who is expected to bid farewell to the Istanbul giants in the near future.
Should Besiktas earn a big fee from Vida’s departure, that could stand Celtic in good stead to get a decent figure for Boyata.
