Arsenal’s Premier League legend Thierry Henry has emerged as a front-runner to take over at struggling Aston Villa.

The Thierry Henry to Aston Villa rumours have snowballed in recent days.
The Villans were initially linked with a wide and extensive array of managers in the aftermath of Steve Bruce’s sacking last Wednesday, but it seems that Henry has emerged as the front-runner since the weekend.
The Telegraph has claimed that the former Arsenal striker held talks with Aston Villa ahead of what could be his first senior managerial role.
Henry, however, still has a contract with the Belgian national team, having aided Roberto Martinez during the Rote Duivel’s run to the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup.
According to the Mail, it is far from certain yet that Henry will take up Aston Villa’s offer.

The Frenchman was pictured at Belgium’s training ground ahead of the Nations League clash against Switzerland this week. And the report adds that the World Cup bronze medallists are confident that Henry will reject Villa in order to stay on the Belgium bench.
With Brendan Rodgers seemingly indicating that he is keen to stay at Celtic, could Villa have missed out on two of their managerial front-runners?
