Yerry Mina has become the Camp Nou’s forgotten man and could swap La Liga giants Barcelona for the Premier League and West Ham United this summer.

Barcelona fans were very impressed by the long-awaited debut of Colombian centre-back Yerry Mina in February’s home draw with Getafe.
The 23-year-old defender, who had finally swapped Palmeiras for Catalonia a month earlier for £10 million after a prolonged transfer pursuit, looked every inch a Barcelona player thanks to his composure on the ball and supreme confidence in possession.
But with Gerard Pique and Samuel Umtiti established at the heart of Ernesto Valverde’s backline, Mina has not been seen since.

And it appears that West Ham United, who The Mirror credited with an interest back in January 2017, could have a second chance to bring Mina to the London Stadium.

Now, defensive reinforcements should be a priority for The Hammers in the off-season with Winston Reid struggling with a long-term injury and James Collins’ contract due to expire at the end of the current campaign.
Mina, a charismatic and self-assured player who is renowned for his larger than life personality off the pitch as well as his promise on it, could be within West Ham’s grasp this time.
