Richarlison is in demand after scoring 10 league goals for Everton, with 2014 La Liga champions Atletico Madrid allegedly one of the interested clubs.
Atletico Madrid are interested in Everton forward Richarlison but would struggle to fund a deal for the Brazilian international, according to AS.
Eyebrows were raised when Everton paid a club-record £50 million to sign the Samba starlet from Watford in the summer, as reported by the BBC, but he has justified his hefty price-tag with ten Premier League goals for The Toffees so far.
As a result, the Daily Star claims that Richarlison’s price-tag has risen considerably in the last six months or so. Everton would demand £80 million for the 21-year-old, who has apparently caught the eye of PSG, Chelsea and AC Milan.
Spanish publication AS points out that Atletico are also interested with the club’s technical director, Andrea Berta, having held talks with Richarlison’s representatives.
It is understood that the 2014 La Liga champions are scouring the market for talented young forwards and the one-time Fluminense forward certainly fits the bill.
But AS points out that Atletico would struggle to meet Everton’s price-tag given that Diego Simeone’s side are not funded by oil barons or the Qatari Royal Family.
Atleti were forced to sell Jonny Otto to Wolves to fund a loan deal for Alvaro Morata so Richarlison might be one who is simply out of their reach.
