Aston Villa’s left-back search has reportedly taken them to Leicester City’s 2016 Premier League champion Fuchs.

Aston Villa were willing to sign Christian Fuchs on loan with the option of a permanent deal this month, according to Sky Sports.
If you ask any Villa supporter, a new left-back is a must before the January transfer window slams shut. Neil Taylor looks a shadow of the player who shone in the Premier League with Swansea City five or six years ago with Alan Hutton often forced to switch flanks in recent months.
As a result, Sky claims that the Midland club were keen to sign the experienced Austrian Fuchs, who was a key player as Leicester won the Premier League title in 2016.

The 32-year-old has made just one top flight appearance all season and Villa were hoping to take advantage, making an offer to sign the former Schalke man on loan until May before deciding whether to bring him in permanently.
Sky, however, suggests that a deal is unlikely, with Leicester keen to keep Fuchs at the King Power Stadium. He is their only back-up option for the ever-improving England international Ben Chilwell.
