Aston Villa loaned Bodymoor Heath graduate Easah Suliman to Grimsby Town in January but he has played just one League Two game.

Grimsby Town have won just one of their last 22 games and, with just three matches left in the League Two season, are five points above the League Two relegation zone.
But despite, or perhaps because of, their dreadful run of form, Aston Villa loanee Easah Suliman still has not been given the chance to prove himself on a consistent basis.

A relegation dogfight may not be the time to throw an unproven 20-year-old into the thick of the action. But you would think Suliman, who was a key figure as England won the U19 European Championships last summer, would be better than the other options at Grimsby’s disposal right now.
Suliman, however, has made just one appearance since he joined the fourth tier strugglers in January, playing 53 minutes of a 1-1 home draw with Port Vale last month.

The report claims that Villa were furious that highly-rated goalkeeper Matija Sarkic did not get a look in while on loan at Wigan Athletic in the first half of the season but are arguably even more frustrated with Suliman’s ongoing omission at Grimsby.
The defender remains highly-rated at Villa Park but, with just one year left on his contract, faces an uncertain future and a decision will have to be made over the summer.
