Ross McCormack has been tipped to leave Aston Villa ever since they lost the play-off final to his former club Fulham.

Aston Villa have just provided the clearest indication so far that Ross McCormack’s career at the Midland giants is over.
And the same publication is now claiming that McCormack has been left out of Aston Villa’s training camp for the pre-season trip to Portugal. Steve Bruce’s side have flown out to the Algarve but it is understood that the forward has been left at home.
The report adds that Bruce, who had allegedly been at odds with the 31-year-old over perceived disciplinary issues, decided as far back as last summer that McCormack had no future in claret and blue.
And, despite a wonderful loan spell with Australian outfit Melbourne Victory, where McCormack scored 14 goals in 14 starts including some truly sublime strikes, that has still not been enough for Bruce to offer an olive branch.

Villa need to raise £50 million in player sales to avoid Financial Fair Play sanctions, according to the Telegraph, so it makes sense that they would try to get rid of a player earning around £40,000 a week.
McCormack has two years left on his contract.
