Fabio Borini could reportedly return to the Premier League from AC Milan, with Aston Villa and Crystal Palace potential destinations.
Aston Villa are keen to bring Fabio Borini back to the Premier League this summer while the AC Milan forward is interested in a potential move to Crystal Palace, according to Calciomercato.
A player who started his career at Chelsea before taking in spells at Swansea City, Liverpool and Sunderland, the versatile Borini appears to be on his way out of the San Siro two years after he made a shock switch to the seven-time European champions.
The adaptable Italian hit back at the cynics by becoming an important part of Milan’s squad, largely due to his willingness to fill in in almost any position. He even played as a wing-back.
But with new Milan coach Marco Giampaolo looking to implement his favoured 4-3-1-2 formation, Calciomercato reports that the Rossoneri are open to selling the 28-year-old for £13 million.
Newly-promoted Aston Villa have already spent over £50 million on players since they returned to the Premier League and the report adds that the Midland giants are keen to offer Borini a fresh start in England’s top flight.
The one-time Italy international, however, is interested in the chance to join Crystal Palace this summer. But, as The Eagles fans will be keen to point out, they need a prolific goalscorer – not a forward who has scored six league goals since the start of 2016/17.
