Unai Emery has reportedly demanded a centre-back this summer with Arsenal looking at Premier League pair Maguire and Zouma.

Unai Emery has demanded a top class centre-back this summer with the Arsenal boss keen on Leicester City’s Harry Maguire and Everton loanee Kurt Zouma, according to the Sun (1 May, page 54).
The Gunners’ lack of funds have been well documented heading into what could be a make or break transfer window for Emery, The Sun pointing out that the former PSG and Sevilla boss will have just £40 million to play with.
But, after a disastrous week in which Arsenal conceded nine goals in defeats to Crystal Palace, Wolves and Leicester, Emery has come to the conclusion that a marquee defensive signing is a must.
The Sun claims that Arsenal are interested in Getafe powerhouse Djene Dakonam and are even eyeing a controversial deal for Tottenham Hotspur star Toby Alderweireld, who has a £25 million release-clause in his contract.
But there are also two new names on the Gunners’ radar – Maguire and Zouma.

England international Maguire is both classy and commanding in equal measure and shone in Leicester’s 3-0 thrashing of the North London giants on Sunday. The Foxes demanded £75 million last summer, however, meaning he could be well out of Arsenal’s reach.
Zouma, meanwhile, has shone on loan at Everton but it seems unlikely that Chelsea would sell to a direct rival, especially as they are under a transfer ban.
