Djene Dakonam’s form has La Liga surprise packages Getafe dreaming of the Champions League but is he heading to the Premier League with Arsenal.

Arsenal are set to renew their interest in Djene Dakonam after head coach Unai Emery scouted the Getafe defender this weekend, according to AS.
Emery was in the stands as Champions League chasing Getafe were held to a goalless draw with Valencia on Sunday and Djene impressed again, keeping a clean sheet against an in-form side boasting the talents of Rodrigo Moreno, Kevin Gameiro and Goncalo Guedes.
AS claims that Arsenal were interested in signing the 27-year-old last summer but were told by Getafe president Angel Torres that the centre-back would not be sold for less than his £30 million release clause.
The report, however, claims that Emery is ‘captivated’ by Djene and will make a new approach for him when the transfer window opens again.

The Togo international has been one of the best defenders in La Liga this season with Getafe, who have conceded just 24 goals in 28 games, hoping to qualify for the Champions League for the first time. Djene moved to Madrid from Belgian outfit Sint Truidense in 2017.
Arsenal may face competition however with France Football reporting last summer that Leicester City were making an offer of £25 million. The Foxes could still do with a new centre-back.
