Gelson Martins swapped La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid for Monaco in January with Premier League powerhouses Arsenal reportedly still watching.

Arsenal have renewed their interest in Gelson Martins with the Portuguese winger in exceptional form since joining Monaco on loan, as reported by A Bola.
Martins endured a torrid time in the first half of the season, struggling to make an impression under Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid after leading an exodus from Portuguese crisis club Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2018.
But the speedy forward has made a huge impression at Monaco, arriving in the Principality alongside the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Adrien Silva in January. He has scored three goals in seven Ligue 1 games with Monaco pulling clear of the relegation zone.
As a result, A Bola reports that Martins has played his way back onto Arsenal’s radar heading into the summer transfer window.

This is far from the first time that the Portugal international, who helped Fernando Santos’s team win the 2016 European Championships, has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium.
According to Zero Zero, Arsenal saw a bid of £25 million rejected last summer before he swapped Lisbon for Madrid.
