Marcus Thuram has 11 goals for Ligue 1 outfit Guingamp with Premier League Arsenal and Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund keen.
Arsenal are stepping up their interest in the coveted Guingamp forward Marcus Thuram, according to Le10 Sport.
The Parma-born France U20 international is famous for being the son of 1998 World Cup winner and Les Blues legend Lillian Thuram but is carving out a reputation of his own right with some fine performances in Ligue 1.
Guingamp are staring down the barrel of relegation, sitting seven points adrift in the bottom three, but the versatile forward has still managed to score 11 goals in all competitions. One of those was a late winner away at PSG in the Coupe de la Ligue in January.
That was PSG’s first domestic cup defeat in five years.
As a result, Thuram Jr has attracted plenty of interest with Le10 Sport claiming that Arsenal have ‘laid the groundwork’ for a summer bid. They will have to rival Borussia Dortmund, who have snapped up the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ousmane Dembele and Dan-Axel Zagadou from the French top flight.
Thuram has been linked with plenty of other Premier League clubs, the Sun reporting in January that Manchester United and Arsenal’s London rivals Tottenham Hotspur are interested too.
The likes of Newcastle United, Everton, Watford and Southampton were linked by TEAMtalk last month, too.
