Aston Villa youngster Mungo Bridge has not made his Championship debut yet but is reportedly a target for Serie A powerhouses AC Milan.

Highly-rated Aston Villa youngster Mungo Bridge is a target for AC Milan according to the Mirror on Sunday (17 February, page 57).
The teenager has impressed at youth level this season, establishing himself in Villa’s U23 side in recent months after standing out for the U18s.
The Mirror claims that Bridge’s performances have caught the eye of one of the world’s most historic and prestigious clubs – Italian giants AC Milan.
Bridge has not yet signed a professional contract with Villa, opening the door for Gennaro Gattuso’s side, who are fourth in Serie A and eyeing a return to the Champions League after six years away.
It is understood that Milan were willing to match any offer that Villa make.

But, in a major boost for Dean Smith, Bridge has decided to continue his development at Bodymoor Heath rather than move across the continent to the San Siro.
Perhaps the defender, who can play at centre-half or left-back, has been convinced that he will be given a chance under Smith, a manager who is renowned for making young players central to his plans.
