Championship outfit Derby County are reportedly leading the chase to sign Aberdeen’s Scottish Premiership captain Shinnie.

Derby County have entered talks to sign Graeme Shinnie with Aberdeen giving their captain permission to travel to Pride Park on Thursday, as reported by the Derby Telegraph.
The 27-year-old has been linked with a number of clubs both north and south of the border with his contract at Pittodrie set to expire in July.
The Bristol Post reported that Old Firm giants Celtic and Rangers were hoping to sign the Dons’ influential skipper, with Bristol City also keen on the five-time Scotland international.
But Derby appear to have leapt to the front of the queue on Thursday, with Shinnie arriving in the East Midlands for talks with Frank Lampard’s side.

The Derby Telegraph claims that the former Inverness favourite has been shown around the Rams’ Pride Park ground in an attempt to convince him to sign a contract with the Championship-chasing side.
Derby might have a key advantage, too, with the Daily Record claiming recently that Shinnie wants to prove himself in England, having spent his whole career in Scotland so far.
