Liverpool are reportedly leading the chase to sign Ramsey from Premier League rivals Arsenal after luring Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Anfield.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain came on leaps and bounds after making the shock decision to leave Arsenal for Liverpool last summer.

The England international started to fulfil his massive potential under Jurgen Klopp having grown stale under Arsene Wenger, helping the Reds reach the Champions League final. So no wonder Aaron Ramsey is allegedly interested in following his former Gunners’ teammate to Merseyside.

That is according to the Mirror anyway, who claim that Liverpool are leading the chase to sign the Welsh international in 2019.

It is common knowledge that Ramsey is due to be a free agent next summer, and remaining at Arsenal appears to be out of the question after head coach Unai Emery brought an end to talks about a new contract.

The Mirror claims that Arsenal would prefer to cash in on the former Cardiff youngster in January and Liverpool are expected to make a move, having failed in an attempt to bring Ramsey to Anfield in the summer.

Ramsey, who scored 11 goals and assisted 12 last season, is understood to be keen on a move to Liverpool, where he would hope to follow Oxlade-Chamberlain’s lead.
