Ben Gibson has made just one Premier League appearance for Sean Dyche’s Burnley since his £15m move from Middlesbrough in 2018.

Ben Gibson is open to leaving Burnley after just one forgettable season at Turf Moor, according to the Mirror (9 May, page 56).
The centre-back joined The Clarets last summer for a fee of £15 million, becoming the club’s record signing on the back of five outstanding seasons at the heart of Middlesbrough’s back line.
But a player who shone in his native north east struggled since moving to Lancashire. Gibson has made a mockery of his £15 million price-tag with just five appearances in all competitions for Burnley colours.
Tellingly, he hasn’t played a Premier League game under Sean Dyche since Burnley were thrashed 5-1 at home by Everton on Boxing Day. That remains his only outing in the top flight for his current employers.

And the Mirror claims that the 26-year-old is open to a move away this summer should an opportunity arise. Burnley themselves would be willing to sell if they can recoup their £15 million investment.
It remains to be seen whether there is any takers however for a defender who has flopped spectacularly in claret and blue.
