Antonee Robinson is yet to make his Premier League debut for Everton and is currently on loan in the Championship with Wigan Athletic.

The left-back position has been a major problem for the United States national team for far too long. As recently as 2016, Eric Lichaj was the closest thing the USA had to a natural left-sided full-back, and even he is more at home on the right.
So thank god for Antonee Robinson.

There is a growing feeling among USMNT supporters that the highly-rated Everton youngster is the answer to their left-back dilemma. And he certainly showcased his credentials in Wednesday’s friendly clash against Mexico.
Robinson changed the game when he replaced an out-of-sorts Lichaj just before the hour. The 21-year-old’s driving runs were a joy to behold and it was his terrific cut-back that created the winning goal for Tyler Adams with 20 minutes to play.
No wonder Robinson is earning rave reviews across the Atlantic, with some even comparing him to Liverpool’s England international prodigy Trent Alexander-Arnold
Blessed with real speed and a terrific cross, it is performances like this that suggest Robinson could challenge Lucas Digne for the left-back spot in Everton’s starting XI for years to come.
The Milton Keynes-born full-back is yet to make his first-team debut for the Toffees and is on loan at Wigan Athletic after an impressive spell at Bolton Wanderers. But it seems only a matter of time before Robinson is a star for club and country.
