Justin Kluivert could swap the Eredivisie for the Premier League if Mino Raiola brings him to Goodison Park giants Everton this summer.

There are a number of reasons why Everton fans are a little concerned about links with Justin Kluivert this summer.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, The Toffees are a genuine option for Kluivert Jr this summer. The 19-year-old Ajax wonderkid is represented by none other than Mino Raiola after all, the mouthy super-agent who Farhad Moshiri is keen to establish a relationship with at Goodison Park.

But, as Everton fans have pointed out, they signed a player from Ajax last summer too. And it’s fair to say Davy Klaassen, the £23 million flop who hasn’t started a league game since September, didn’t exactly set the world alight.

And the last fresh-faced Dutch winger who was expected to take the Premier League by storm, Memphis Depay, struggled too.

But Everton fans should not be so quick to judge Kluivert in comparison to other failures. The teenager is a genuinely elite talent and, though consistency is still a bit of a problem, his tally of 10 goals and five Eredivisie assists is nothing to be sniffed at.

Nor is his burgeoning collection of wondergoals, with Kluivert perfecting the cut-in-and-strike style that Dutch legend Arjen Robben made his trademark.

Yes, Klaassen and Depay found the step up to English life difficult, but Kluivert has all the raw talents to follow in his famous father’s esteemed footsteps.
