Christian Pulisic is causing quite a storm at the moment and, with more displays like Tuesday nights, it’s not going to stop any time soon.

American prodigy Christian Pulisic says he has realised a dream after becoming the youngest Champions League player in Borussia Dortmund’s history.

The 17-year-old winger has enjoyed a rapid ascent since making his Bundesliga bow for Thomas Tuchel’s side in January’s 2-0 win over Ingolstadt, culminating in an international debut for Jurgen Klinsmann’s USA side in March (below).

And the Pennsylvania-born attacker has now ticked off another personal ambition by appearing in the Europe’s premier club competition for the German giants, producing a sublime first time cross to set up Gonzalo Castro in Dortmund’s dominant 6-0 win away at Legia Warsaw.

And Pulisic, who was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool in the summer, admitted after the game that he has fulfilled a ‘dream’.

“Was always a dream of mine to play in the Champions League,” the teenager (below) wrote on his official Instagram page. “Great win.”

Pulisic, who completed the full 90 minutes in the Polish capital, has caused a cacophony of excitement in his homeland, with many American fans believing him to be one of the greatest talents the country has ever produced.

At 17, however, Pulisic is a relative veteran compared to the long-standing youngest player in Champions League history; former Chelsea and Newcastle left-back Celestine Babayaro.

The Nigerian (below right) started Anderlecht’s clash with Steaua Bucharest in the group stages of the 1994/95 campaign aged just 16 years and 87 days. He was, however, sent off in the 37th minute.
