Emi Martinez has made just six Premier League appearances in almost a decade at Arsenal, although he is shining in the Championship.

Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has threatened to walk away from the club this summer if he is not given assurances over his role at The Emirates, in quotes reported by the Sun.
The Argentine shot-stopper has been an Arsenal player since 2010 but he has made just six Premier League appearances in almost a decade in North London while.
He is currently on loan at Reading, his sixth loan spell in the last seven years, and has seized his chance to impress in the Championship. Martinez’s virtuoso performances between the sticks have seen the Royals pull clear of the relegation zone and secure another season in the second tier.
But, at the age of 26, the talented stopper has made it clear that he is sick of spending his life living out of a suitcase and wants to leave Arsenal on a permanent basis this summer if he is not in Unai Emery’s plans.
“I just want to know if they trust me. If they want to give me the chance to become number one, I will stay there, no doubt,” he said.

“Arsenal are a club of my dreams but if they can’t guarantee me any games then it’s time for me to move on.
“I’ve only been three months at Reading but I’ve really shown I need to play regularly. I’m tired of going on loan, I just want to be permanent somewhere.”
Given that Petr Cech is set to retire and David Ospina is likely to join Napoli, this could be Martinez’s best chance yet to nail down a role at Arsenal, albeit as back up to German international Bernd Leno.
