Pablo Hernandez scored twice as Leeds United cruised to a 3-0 Championship win away at Jose Gomes’s Reading at the Madejski Stadium.

Jose Gomes has paid tribute to the quality at Leeds United’s disposal after Marcelo Bielsa’s side cruised to a 3-0 win at the Madejski on Tuesday night, as reported by the club’s official website.
Leeds moved back to the top of the Championship table with a comfortable win away from home, Mateusz Klich’s well taken opener preceding a glorious double from Spanish play-maker Pablo Hernandez.
All three of Leeds’ goals came before half-time and the scoreline would have looked even more emphatic had Patrick Bamford not missed a trio of glorious chances late on.
Speaking after the game, Gomes has taken the time to praise arguably the most impressive team in the Championship this season.
“We played against one of the strongest offensive dynamics in this league. Very good movements, good intensity, very fast movements between all the players,” said the Portuguese tactician.
“They have quality – you can’t hide it – and they can create opportunities from nothing. That’s why they are in the position that they are.”

Hernandez scored arguably the goal of the game to give Leeds a 3-0 lead before the interval, firing home a stunning strike from the edge of the box in a manner reminiscent of his screamer against West Bromwich Albion recently.
And Gomes admits there was little Reading could do to stop a goal of such quality.
“The third goal was no space at all, just a small touch. It was a fantastic goal,” he said of the former Swansea and Valencia ace, as reported by the Reading Chronicle.
“The quality they have in their players is difficult to stop. They are dynamic and offensive. We tried to stop it, but when we are in the good moment, good things happen, and they are in a good moment.”
