Celtic are reportedly set to bring Dunajska Streda striker Bayo to the Scottish Premiership, with Rapid Vienna likely to be disappointed.

Celtic appear to have reached a breakthrough in the pursuit of not one but two new strikers.
According to the Daily Star, 18-year-old USA international Timothy Weah is set to follow in Odsonne Edouard’s footsteps by joining the Scottish Premiership champions on loan from Paris-Saint Germain.
And Vakoun Issouf Bayo is seemingly on his way to Glasgow, too. The Hoops are close to agreeing a £2 million deal with Slovakian outfit Dunajska Streda for the 21-year-old, who is far from a household name but has 18 goals in 23 games this season.
Austrian outfit Rapid Vienna are also allegedly interested in the prolific Bayo but, in quotes reported by the Daily Record, the club’s sporting director Fredy Bikel has suggested that Celtic are in pole position.
“We cannot compete with the Scots financially. We have offered his club less than Celtic. We know that,” Bikel said.
“But that shouldn’t diminish our chances of signing the player.

“We are hopeful he will see that Austria is a better country for his football development than Scotland.”
Dunajska are expected to sell to the highest bidder which bodes well for Celtic, who had a bid rejected before returning with a £2 million offer.
Both Bayo and Weah (below) are risky, left-field signings however so it remains to be seen whether they can fire Brendan Rodgers’ side to an eighth successive Scottish Premiership title.
