Rangers reportedly want Scottish Premiership winger Jordan Jones – but Championship duo Aston Villa and Swansea City have been linked too.

Kilmarnock will be desperate to keep Jordan Jones in order to continue their fine start to the Scottish Premiership season but Steve Clarke will know that their hands are tied given that the mercurial winger is out of contract at the end of the season.
And if Killie are forced into a sale, there will be no shortage of interest.
But do Rangers suddenly have their best chance yet to sign a player they failed to secure in January 2018 when they offered a £350,000 fee that Clarke described as unacceptable, as reported by the Daily Record.
The Mirror (9 December, page 52) reports that The Gers are set to make a fresh bid for Jones next month.
The Mail, however, claimed that Steven Gerrard was set to face competition from Aston Villa and Swansea City. Though the prospect of Jones ending up at Villa Park or the Liberty Stadium suddenly looks slim.

After all, Villa appear to have no immediate need for a new wide-man with both Anwar El Ghazi and Yannick Bolasie exploding into life since the report emerged in mid-November.
Wales Online, meanwhile, suggests that Swansea are unlikely to make a move for Jones with both Wayne Routledge and Nathan Dyer, who were expected to be discarded in January, saving their skins in recent weeks with some impressive displays.
With Villa and Swansea possibly out of the running, Jones to Rangers might just be on.
