James Forrest has scored 14 goals for Scottish Premiership giants Celtic and the Scotland national team this season – including a Nations League hat-trick.

James Forrest is in the sort of form every footballer dreams of right now.
While playing better than ever before for Celtic, the winger is also a national hero after his remarkable performances in the November international break.
Not content with scoring his first two Scotland goals at the 25th time of asking in the 4-0 away win against Albania on Saturday, Forrest then hit a remarkable treble in the dramatic 3-2 triumph over Israel that secures Alex McLeish’s side first place in their UEFA Nations League group.
This is the second time this season that Forrest has hit a hat-trick. In fact, he went one better in a 6-0 thrashing of St Johnstone back in October by scoring four, the first time he had ever achieved the feat in Celtic colours.
And, speaking on talkSPORT (22 November, 8.40am), former Rangers striker and manager Ally McCoist has paid tribute to Forrest’s irrepressible form as he continues to go from strength to strength.

“I saw him against St Johnstone and he had an unbelievable 45 minutes, he was just unplayable at times,” McCoist said. “He must seriously be in a period of form he could only dream about and long may it continue.
“(It is) not only his goals but the quality of a couple of his finish (against Israel) were sensational. They were brilliant.”
Forrest has become the main man for Brendan Rodgers and Alex McLeish in the last few weeks and, should he maintain this purple patch, there is no saying how many goals he’ll score this season.
His tally for club and country stands at 14 already in 2018/19.
