Crystal Palace already have Patrick Van Aanholt at Selhurst Park and reportedly want Tavernier from Scottish Premiership giants Rangers, too.

If Crystal Palace pull off a £3.5 million summer deal, Roy Hodgson could have possibly the Premier League’s most potent full-back partnership next season.
Tavernier is every inch the modern day full-back, a swashbuckling and aggressive attacker who is renowned for his set piece prowess. The 27-year-old may not be the most solid defender around, but a tally of nine goals and nine assists in all competitions this season makes it pretty clear what he would bring to Selhurst Park.

And the prospect of Tavernier flying down one wing while Patrick van Aanholt races down the other should have Palace fans salivating.
Dutch international Van Aanholt appears to get more attack-minded by the season and has ended the campaign with five goals to his game, including two in the last two matches of 2017/18, including the winner away at Stoke City which confirmed the Potters’ relegation.

Under Hodgson, Palace have evolved into a very direct side whose attacks tend to originate from wide areas, meaning Tavernier and Van Aanholt would be encouraged to make the most of their attacking attributes.
And that would cause plenty of sleepless nights for opposition full-backs.
