Ibrox captain James Tavernier has been one of Rangers’ top performers in the Scottish Premiership this season.

For all those who doubt the worth of James Tavernier to Rangers, consider this: he has set up more attempts at goal in the Scottish Premiership this season than any other player according to the Scotsman.
The rampaging right-back has enjoyed another fine season at Ibrox and, while there will always be those who question his defensive ability, his creative output cannot be argued against.
The Scotsman have claimed that 62 of Rangers’ shots this season have come from passes or crosses from their influential captain. Scott Arfied is second on the list with a measly 20.
In total, Tavernier has scored or assisted 18 Scottish Premiership goals this season too, managing nine apiece in 25 games with Rangers pushing Celtic hard for their first league title since the 2011/12 campaign.

Interestingly, Celtic’s Callum McGregor has produced the second most assists-to-shots in the Scottish Premiership in 2018/19 but his tally of 41 is well below the standards set by the former Newcastle United youngster Tavernier.
According to the Express, Rangers value Tavernier at £8 million but these stats show that he is simply priceless.
