After spending a trial period with Rangers, USA left-back Andrew Gutman is reportedly set to join Scottish Premiership title rivals Celtic instead.

The future of USA youngster Andrew Gutman has taken a rather intriguing U-turn.
The 22-year-old full-back looked set to sign for Scottish Premiership giants Rangers after spending a brief trial period in Glasgow over the festive period. American Soccer Now claimed that Gutman had impressed and had been offered a full-time contract.
Now, it seems that Gutman is indeed edging closer to a move to Scotland…but not with Rangers.
In a remarkable twist, Chicago-based publication The Atlantic is claiming that the Indiania Hoosiers youngster is now on his way to Old Firm rivals Celtic instead.
And that has left Rangers fans wondering what on earth has happened.

Should Gutman arrive and thrive at Celtic this will not reflect well on a Rangers side who have otherwise enjoyed an excellent transfer window, snapping up Jermain Defoe and Steven Davis on loans while securing Jordan Jones and Glen Kamara on pre-contract agreements.
Why Celtic need another left-back, with Kieran Tierney, Emilio Izaguirre and Jonny Hayes already wearing green and white, not to mention the Dundee loanee Calvin Miller, is another matter altogether.
