Daniel Candeias shone again as goals from Josh Windass and James Tavernier gave Rangers a comfortable Scottish Premiership win at Firhill on Tuesday.

It is hard to believe Daniel Candeias has flown so far under the radar in the Scottish Premiership this season.
Much of the focus at Rangers has been on the prolific Alfredo Morelos, the rise of Ross McCrorie or the evolution of Josh Windass but the form of their £750,000 man should not be ignored.
In fact, no one has assisted more goals in Scotland’s top flight than Candeias this season. He produced his seventh of the campaign to set Rangers on their way to a comfortable 2-0 win at Partick Thistle on Wednesday night, curving a perfect first-time ball into the path of the grateful Windass, who smashed home emphatically.

And Gers fans have taken to Twitter, united as one in their admiration of a winger who was nothing short of an unknown quantity when he swapped Benfica for Ibrox back in June.
Candeias has played for six different clubs since the start of 2014 but appears to have found a home in the blue half of Glasgow.
And while so many of the players brought to Rangers during the reign of Pedro Caixinha flopped spectacularly or failed to live up to expectations, the same criticism cannot be levelled at one of the club’s best bargain buys of recent years.
