Motherwell manager Robinson wasn’t impressed with Morelos as his Motherwell side suffered a 7-1 Scottish Premiership battering away to Rangers.

Was it Stephen Robinson or Jose Mourinho in the press conference after Motherwell’s 7-1 thrashing at Rangers at the weekend?
Like the embattled Portuguese tactician, Robinson appeared to resort to deflecting tactics after his team were taken to the cleaners by Steven Gerrard’s inspired side at Ibrox – and the Rangers fans think they’ve seen straight through it.
The two teams were level at 1-1 before Motherwell’s Carl McHugh was sent off midway through the first half. But, speaking to the Evening Times, Robinson has questioned the first of McHugh’s first bookings, accusing Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos of making the most out of minimal contact.
“But the first booking is a disgrace. It’s embarrassing,” Robinson said.

“And I have to say referees are getting conned by the same people. He has to send him off after he has booked him, but he shouldn’t have booked him.”
In fairness to Robinson, he admitted that McHugh’s red card should not be an excuse for the way his side collapsed. Motherwell conceded four goals during a torrid second half with Eros Grezda and Scott Arfield netting twice with James Tavernier, Glenn Middleton and Morelos himself also on the score-sheet.

But Rangers fans think Robinson is a little rich talking about fair play given that his side gave away 19 fouls over 90 minutes.
