Steven Davis has just a year left on his contract with Premier League strugglers Southampton and fans of Rangers want him back at Ibrox.

Steven Davis might have left Rangers after their 2012 demotion but, unlike Steven Naismith, Kyle Lafferty and co, he remains in the hearts of the Ibrox faithful.
And, six years on, Rangers fans have made it clear that they would welcome Davis with open arms if he decided to return to the blue half of Glasgow at the end of this season.

The 33-year-old Northern Ireland international is out of contract in the summer of 2019, meaning a return to Rangers is not impossible as he may be available on a cut-price fee in the summer.
And he would perhaps be the most eye-catching signing Rangers have made since they returned to the Scottish Premiership in 2016. Unlike fellow veterans like Niko Kranjcar and Philippe Senderos, Davis is still at the top of his game and has been a regular starter for Southampton in the Premier League this season.
A bona fide fan favourite who won three Scottish Premiership titles in his four seasons at Ibrox, Rangers supporters not only believe Davis would be an excellent addition, but claim that he would be the best midfielder in the whole of Scotland.
