Alfredo Morelos surely won’t leave Scottish Premiership challengers Rangers for MLS outfit La Galaxy.

Alfredo Morelos just gets better and better.
Spurred on by competition from Jermain Defoe and benefitting from a side that is set up to get the best out of the most natural goalscorer in Scottish football, the firebrand Colombian continues to power through defences like a buffalo in a china shop.
In 17 games, he has 13 goals this season. Perhaps even more impressively, there have been just three yellows cards and no reds for a player who appears to have matured no end in the last few months.
There is always a downside whenever a player starts to really sparkle north of the border, however. As Celtic fans will tell you, with Virgil van Dijk and Moussa Dembele still fresh in the memory, it is almost impossible to hold onto your star players when they start to outgrow a relatively small pond.
Morelos is no stranger to speculation and, speaking to the Scotsman, Ibrox legend Richard Gough has admitted that Jovan Kirovski, technical director of MLS outfit LA Galaxy, have been taking a keen interest in the former HJK Helsinki forward.
Now, LA Galaxy have history when it comes to eye-catching signings. David Beckham, Ashley Cole and even Rangers manager Steven Gerrard have worn their white and gold kit but the Ibrox faithful can rest easy. That did nothing to dispell the ‘retirement league’ jibes but the summer arrival of 23-year-old Argentina international Cristian Pavon was a real statement of intent.
But Morelos feels like a step too far.

According to the Record, Morelos made it clear that he had no interest in joining Eintracht Frankfurt – a Europa League outfit and one of the Bundesliga’s most ambitious clubs – over the summer. He is dreaming of the Premier League and, failing that, Champions League football.
It goes without saying that Morelos isn’t going to get that across the channel. Moving to America at the peak of his powers would be a bizarre decision for a striker intent on reaching the very top of the European game.
Kirovski and LA might be interested but the ‘City of Dreams´ can dream on.
