Ibrox ace Lee Wallace may never play for Scottish Premiership giants Rangers again.

Lee Wallace looks set to bring an end to his seven-year association with Rangers Football Club this summer.

The long-serving club captain has been suspended by the Glasgow giants following an unseemly row that blew up after Sunday’s 4-0 Scottish Cup semi-final defeat to Celtic – and the Sun believes it is unlikely that he will ever play for the club again.

But it seems that Wallace will not be short of offers this summer as he looks set to depart Ibrox despite having a year left on his contract.

And the Scottish Sun believes that the 30-year-old is considering a move down south this summer, with clubs in England seemingly interested in offering him an escape route.

The nine-time Scotland international would be a fine addition for any side needing an experienced and attack-minded left-back and it will be interesting to see who comes in for the veteran defender, who Rangers signed from Hearts for £1.5 million back in 2011.

Nottingham Forest, for example, are a little short of options on the left of their back line with Armand Traore having left in January and Daniel Fox adapting to a new centre-half role.

As reported by the Daily Record, Forest had a £900,000 bid rejected for Wallace in January 2014 but they, along with a few other clubs, could consider making a move this summer.
