Young Rangers goalkeeper Aidan McAdams is keen to leave the Scottish Premiership giants on loan, shortly after Kelly departed Ibrox for Livingston.

The rise of Liam Kelly at Livingston is something of a warning to Rangers.
The 22-year-old may be one of the most promising young goalkeepers in British football but Rangers left him in no mood to stay and wait for his chance at Ibrox when they brought Allan McGregor back to Glasgow from Hull City in the summer.
According to The Sun, Rangers were hoping to keep Kelly but were eventually powerless to prevent him from leaving. And, since joining Premiership newcomers Livi, Kelly has shown his former club what they’re missing with some outstanding displays behind a watertight defence.
So Steven Gerrard’s side must learn from this with another talented young Gers ‘keeper seemingly getting itchy feet.
Speaking to the Evening Times, Aidan McAdams has admitted that he wants to leave on loan in the January transfer window in order to prove himself elsewhere with just 18 months remaining on his contract.

“Hopefully I can get that loan move and I will do my best wherever I am. If I make any mistakes, I will learn from them and I am sure I will enjoy the experience in a first team environment,” said McAdams, who spent 10 years at Celtic before defecting to Rangers last summer.
Now, 36-year-old McGregor cannot go on forever and it remains to be seen how much longer Wes Foderingham is willing to sit on the bench. So Rangers cannot afford really to let McAdams go the same way as Kelly with his contract running down and his first-team prospects looking slim.
Perhaps the best course of action would be to give the teenager some assurances that he has a long-term future at Ibrox, tie him down to a new contract, and give him the chance to prove himself out on loan.
Because in 18 months or perhaps two years’ time, McAdams could be ready to challenge for McGregor’s place.
