Tammy Abraham scored for fun at Bristol City and Chelsea look likely to loan him out again with both Newcastle United and Brighton keen.

Bristol City's Tammy Abraham looks dejected

Of course Queens Park Rangers would be interested in taking Chelsea wonderkid Tammy Abraham on loan next season. After all, the 19-year-old plundered 23 goals in 41 games at Bristol City last season, the most ever scored by a teenager at Championship level.

With only the bit-part Idrissa Sylla hitting double figures for QPR last season, it’s no surprise that they will ask the Premier League champions for the privilege of loaning England’s most exciting young striker, as reported by Get West London.

The problem, however, is that the club already appear to be fighting a losing battle – and not just because of the bad blood between QPR and their local rivals Chelsea.

The Sun claims that The Blues would rather send Abraham out to a Premier League rival next season to prove he can cut it at the top level. After starring for a side ranked 17th in the Championship last season, it appears to make little sense for Chelsea to farm him out to the team who finished one place lower.

And The Telegraph add that newly promoted duo Newcastle United and Brighton and Hove Albion have both been given permission to speak to Abraham as they aim to give him his chance at the top level of the English game.

With Chelsea harbouring hopes that the scoring sensation could be the first player since John Terry to emerge from the academy and make his name in the first team, they will want to ensure that Abraham is ready to challenge for a starting berth.

And another spell in the Championship, with QPR, is unlikely to represent anything other than a sidewards step.
