Scottish Premiership champions Celtic are reportedly set to land Australian World Cup wonderkid Daniel Arzani from Premier League Manchester City.

Just how excited should Celtic fans be about the prospect of Daniel Arzani moving to Parkhead on loan for two years? Well, quotes coming from Down Under via a respected Australian pundit should give the supporters a little indication about just how highly-rated this speedy teenage winger really is.
According to the Daily Record, Manchester City are set to sign Arzani from their Australian sister club Melbourne City before loaning him to Celtic on for the next two seasons.
Now, the 19-year-old has already accomplished quite a bit since making his professional debut a year ago. In his first full season in the A-League, Arzani was named the Young Player of the Year and included in the Team of the Season.
He also seized the Harry Kewell Medal for the best Australian player under the age of 23 before becoming the youngest starlet to feature at this summer’s World Cup, coming off the bench in all three of the Socceroos’ group-stage games.
And pundit Francis Leach has told the Daily Record that Arzani is certainly worthy of the hype.

“He’s probably the most technically gifted Australian player of his generation,” Leach said.
“You could tell when he made his three appearances off the bench at the World Cup just how Australian football fans are desperate to see him succeed because what we don’t have at the moment is that skill and capacity to change the shape of a game.
“Even as a young player who has played less than 30 A League games, it’s quite apparent he was often the most talented player on the park.”
Celtic, then, might have got themselves one hell of a talent.
