Paris Saint-Germain right-back Thomas Meunier has grown tired with life in Ligue 1 and would be open to a move to Premier League Everton.

Thomas Meunier might have struggled to nail down a regular place in PSG’s starting XI since he joined from Club Brugge in the summer of 2016, but that should not be used against the Belgian right-back.
After all, he has had competition from Serge Aurier and Dani Alves to contend with at the Parc des Princes. And this doesn’t mean Meunier isn’t one of the finest attacking full-backs in the European game at the moment, blessed with the ability to produce pinpoint crosses from the right and the odd wonder goal.

So even though Everton boast one of the Premier League’s most gifted and consistent right-backs in Seamus Coleman, Meunier’s admission to RTBF that: “I could aim at a club like Everton” should give The Toffees’ chiefs a decision to make.
The 26-year-old has grown tired with life on the PSG bench and appears to be contemplating a move away this summer, having started just 13 Ligue 1 games in 2017/18. But it’s not exactly guaranteed that he would be Everton’s first-choice either, with Coleman impressing since his return from a broken leg.

Meunier, however, is probably one of the few affordable right-backs on the market who would give Coleman a real run for his money at Goodison Park – and potentially even replace him in the Toffees’ starting XI.
Meunier might not be the same bullish, all-action presence but he is a supremely gifted footballer who would arguably provide better service and precision in the final third.
