Liverpool’s former Premier League misfit Iago Aspas is reportedly a target for Real Madrid.

Iago Aspas has had three outstanding seasons with Celta Vigo. The boy from Balaidos scored 22 goals in La Liga last season to cement his position as one of the most feared strikers in Spanish football.
He has also established himself as a Spain international, scoring with a wonderful flicked finish against Morocco at the World Cup this summer.
But he remains largely remembered in England for one scuffed corner kick against Chelsea.

Aspas spent just one season at Liverpool in 2013/14 but was a forgettable footnote amid the brilliance of Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge as Brendan Rodgers’ Reds came oh so close to winning their first ever Premier League title.
Aspas returned to Spain for a fee of £4.4 million. But, four years after being discarded by Liverpool, it seems that the 31-year-old could be on his way to the Santiago Bernabeu to replace the one and only Cristiano Ronaldo.
That is according to Super Deporte, who claim that Real Madrid have turned their attentions to Aspas after giving up on signing Valencia’s Rodrigo Moreno. Aspas, who has a release clause of £36 million, is the cheaper of the too and it is understood that an agreement is now in place.

Any avid La Liga fan will tell you that Aspas deserves his big break. Most Liverpool fans will tell you they can’t believe what they’re reading.
