West Bromwich Albion, Swansea City and Crystal Palace are the three Premier League teams all interested in signing Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths.

Leigh Griffiths might have been left on the bench by Brendan Rodgers on a few occasions recently, but it seems that the number nine has no interest in leaving Celtic any time soon.

Yet while the Scotland international is happy to stay at Parkhead, it appears the Scottish Premiership champions could well be tempted to cash in on one of their star men, provided that the price is right.

According to The Mail, Celtic will listen to offers of around £7 million for Griffiths, with a number of Premier League clubs expressing their interest.

The report states that Swansea City and West Brom, the two lowest goal-scorers in the Premier League this season, are considering signing a player who scored 78 times for the Bhoys between 2014/15 and 2016/17.

Crystal Palace are also understood to be interested, with Roy Hodgson keen to sign a striker capable of providing competition for Christian Benteke in attack.

But surely Celtic can ask for far more than £7 million; a figure that most Premier League clubs would find down the back of the sofa these days. For context, this is £5 million less than Swansea paid for Sam Clucas while Palace could sign four-and-a-half Griffiths’s for the price of one Benteke.

And if the Hoops are asking for around £30 million for Moussa Dembele, according to The Mail, they should at least refuse to accept any offers for Griffiths that are not into double figures.

After all, Swansea, Palace and West Brom are all desperate for goal-scorers to keep them in the Premier League. And if Celtic are indeed willing to sell, they could surely raise Griffiths’ price-tag by playing on this desperation.
