Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are both reportedly looking at the prolific Genoa striker Piatek, who is taking Serie A by storm.

If you had to put a bet on the first player to hit double figures anywhere in Europe this season, surely Cristiano Ronaldo, Harry Kane, Robert Lewandowski, Sergio Aguero and co would have been in your thoughts.
Hardly anyone, however, would have stuck the fiver on a 23-year-old who was sold by Cracovia for £4 million this summer. But the previously unknown Krzysztof Piatek just continues to take Europe by form.
The Polish striker has been a revelation since arriving at Genoa, scoring 12 goals in just seven games in all competitions, including a match-winning brace in Sunday’s 2-1 victory against Frosinone.
As a result, Piatek’s value has soared to £30 million while he has caught the eye of both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, according to TEAMtalk.
But, speaking to reporters after the weekend victory, Genoa president Enrico Preziosi has made it clear that anyone hoping to sign the once-capped Pole face an almost impossible task.
“Just thinking about (selling Piatek) is crazy,” Preziosi said according to Football Italia. “I’m very happy with him. We knew he possessed great qualities, he’s an innate talent but I wouldn’t be telling the truth if I said ‘I knew it’.

“However, I’ll also say that we didn’t sign him on a whim. I’d seen him play. He’s a striker who scored 21 goals in the Polish League last season, in all kinds of ways.
“He’s a real talent who can explode at any moment.”
Jurgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino are two coaches renowned for their ability to nurture young talent so Liverpool and Tottenham could be viewed as the ideal destination for Piatek if he is to become a truly world class centre-forward.
