Boaz Myhill has been released by West Bromwich Albion but should Championship rivals Leeds United consider signing the goalkeeper?

Leeds United need a goalkeeper but signing one could be easier said than done.
Leeds are also interested in David Stockdale, who has been told he can leave Birmingham City. But, according to the Birmingham Mail, Leeds’ initial offer for the 32-year-old fell short of the Blues’ valuation while club and player are understood to be quite far apart on wages too.

So how about Boaz Myhill as a cheap and available alternative?
The 35-year-old suddenly finds himself without a club after being released by West Bromwich Albion last week. The California-born former Wales international hasn’t featured regularly at club level since the 2015/16 season with Ben Foster firmly established as The Baggies’ number one over the last few campaigns.

Though with Andy Lonergan expected to follow Felix Wiedwald out the door at Elland Road, Myhill’s experience could make him a viable option and a solid back-up to the young Bailey Peacock-Farrell.
But would Myhill be a popular addition? Well, it depends who you ask.
