Everton have been linked with three Porto players – Hector Herrera, Eder Militao and Yacine Brahimi.

Everton manager Marco Silva is seen during the Premier League match between Everton FC and Huddersfield Town at Goodison Park on September 1, 2018 in Liverpool, United Kingdom.

Marco Silva’s knowledge of Portuguese football has already helped Everton since his appointment at Goodison Park.

Andre Gomes has added class and combativeness in equal measure since arriving on loan from Barcelona, finding the sort of form that earned him that £30 million move to the Camp Nou in 2016.

And, if reports are to be believed, the former Sporting Lisbon manager could look to make full use of his awareness of the Iberian game in the January transfer window. And FC Porto should beware, because Everton could be coming to take their players.

According to O Jogo, the Merseyside club are keen to land Porto’s Algerian winger Yacine Brahimi on the cheap in the January transfer window. The 28-year-old, who contributed 22 goals and assists last season, is out of contract at the end of the season and the reigning Primeira Liga champions could be tempted to cash in.

Hector Herrera, too, only has a few months remaining on his deal. And, like Brahimi, the Mexican midfielder is on Everton’s radar according to Correio de Manha.

Herrera, who captained Porto to their first league title in five years in May, appears to be the type of tenacious box-to-box midfielder The Toffees are looking for.

A Bola have also claimed that Everton want Eder Militao too, the £18 million-rated Brazilian centre-back having stood out since he moved to the Estadio do Dragao from Sao Paolo in August.
