Premier League West Ham United would surely want at least £10m if Championship hopefulls Aston Villa want to keep Robert Snodgrass.

Robert Snodgrass took a while to get going at Aston Villa. But when on form, there is arguably not a better creative player in the Championship than the Scottish winger – and the statistics certainly back up that claim.
Since joining on loan from West Ham United in the summer, Snodgrass has scored seven goals and assisted a further 14 in English football’s second tier, a division he has shone in previously for both Leeds United and Hull City too.
In fact, no player in the Championship has set up more goals than Snodgrass this season. The 30-year-old has been possibly Aston Villa’s best performer this season and is a major reason why they are almost guaranteed a place in the play-offs.

No wonder Aston Villa fans have responded to Snodgrass on Twitter, desperately trying to convince him to stay beyond this summer.
In all likelihood, Villa could only afford to sign Snodgrass permanently if they are promoted.
The Birmingham Mail claimed in January that he would be more than happy to stay at Villa Park as opposed to returning to West Ham, where he struggled big time following that £10 million move in January 2017.

West Ham would want to recoup as much of that fee as possible and there is no chance Villa could afford to spend £10 million on a single player if they are still a Championship side next season.
But if Steve Bruce leads them back to the promised land, making Snodgrass’ loan move permanent should be the number one prioritiy.
