Rangers’ U20s hammered Motherwell 6-2 in the SPFL Reserve League on Monday, but will any of their players make their Scottish Premiership debuts?

Steven Gerrard’s Rangers are in top form right now. They have scored nine goals in their last two Scottish Premiership games, battering Dundee and St Johnstone either side of a brilliant 2-2 draw away at Villarreal in the Europa League.
But Peter Lovenkrands’ reserves have had a fine start to the season, too. They have won four out of five games in the new-look SPFL Reserve League and battered Motherwell 6-2 at the Hummel Training Centre on Monday.
Dapo Mebude was the star of the show, scoring a brilliant second-half hat-trick, while Cammy Palmer, Andy Dallas and £2 million Albanian international Eros Grezda were also on target.
And Lovenkrands, while lauding Mebude’s display, has named two players that really impressed him against Motherwell.
“Dapo coming on and scoring three goals is fantastic. He got into some good areas. Cammy Palmer and Jack Thomson for me were outstanding. They’re fantastic footballers and they are working very hard in training,” former Ibrox winger Lovenkrands told the club’s official website.

Highly-rated Canadian midfielder Palmer is in his second season with the U20 side and is certainly making a good impression behind the scenes.
Thomson, meanwhile, is putting his injury issues behind him in an attempt to recapture the form that saw many tip him for a future role in the Rangers first-team.
