Premier League giants Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Athletic Bilbao’s La Liga hero Iker Muniain.

How to judge reported Liverpool target Iker Muniain?
Is he a one-time wonder-kid who has failed to fulfil his potential thanks largely to injury issues, a player destined never to reach the heights many expected of him?
Or is he a potentially brilliant free agent signing, a player who could finally become a world beater under the tactical guidance and man-management of Jurgen Klopp?

Liverpool’s reported interest, claimed by Radio Marca (30 October, 7am) can certainly be taken one of two ways. It has been claimed that The Reds have made an offer to sign Muniain once his contract at Athletic Bilbao comes to an end next summer.
Muniain was once seen as one of the most promising young midfielders in world football and will forever be remembered for that remarkable performance as Marcelo Bielsa’s Bilbao outclassed Manchester United in the 2012 Europa League.
Now, he is still just 25 years of age but it seems that years of injury problems and a perceived inability to live up to expectations has Liverpool supporters concerned about his potential arrival.
Though there were plenty of cynics who doubted the signings of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Xherdan Shaqiri too. And they’ve turned out quite well.
