Ovie Ejaria is on loan at Steven Gerrard’s Rangers from Premier League giants Liverpool and is impressing at Ibrox.

Ovie Ejaria may be just 20 years of age but he is already fully aware of the impact fans can have on a team’s performances.

The highly-rated youngster grew up in the Liverpool youth academy and made regular trips to watch the first-team so he clearly knows what the word passion means.

And while those ‘famous European nights at Anfield’ has almost become something of a cliché, albeit one rooted in reality, Rangers supporters too have a reputation for making a bit of a din on the continent.

Steven Gerrard’s side have been terrific in the Europa League this season, following up a comeback draw against Villarreal with an impressive 3-1 victory against Rapid Vienna at a raucous Ibrox.

And, in quotes reported by the Scottish Sun, Ejaria has likened the Rangers support to the infamous Anfield atmosphere.

“I had been at games at Anfield watching Liverpool in the Champions League and Europa League in the past. I saw what it was like but to actually play in it was something else — I love it,” Ejaria said.

“The atmosphere against Rapid Vienna at Ibrox in the last Europa League game was incredible, especially after we got the second and third goals.

“It was something I had never experienced before while actually playing in a game, it was great.”

Ejaria was the subject of criticism from some members of the Rangers support in his first few weeks in Scottish football. But he has nailed down a place in Gerrard’s starting XI of late, making 19 appearances in all competitions while impressing with his vision and touch.
